Hush Privacy Review, Services and Subscription Cost

Hush is a high-end data removal service priced for executives and family offices, at $550 a month or $6,000 a year for one person. If what you need is your address and phone number off US people-search sites, run the Deindex scan and see which sites list you before you sign.

No account needed. Adding a city and state is what lets us tell your record apart from everyone who shares your name.

The short answer

Hush is a legitimate, venture-backed data removal company founded in 2021 in Detroit. Its Professional subscription costs $550 a month or $6,000 a year for one person and covers 2,500+ brokers, public records and social media sources with a privacy specialist and $5 million in identity theft insurance. Price, side by side

How much does a Hush subscription cost?

Hush lists two ways to pay on its pricing page. Professional Monthly is $550 a month with no long-term commitment. Professional Yearly is $6,000 a year, which works out to $500 a month. Both cover one person, with removal from more than 2,500 data broker and public record sites, continuous monitoring, exposure reporting and a privacy specialist who handles the removals. Hush Elite, for executives, public figures and private households, is priced by quote.

That puts Hush in a different price band from consumer removal services and next to executive protection firms such as BlackCloak. The page does not show a family price, a free scan or a refund policy, so ask for all three in writing before you sign, especially if you need a spouse or children covered.

What you get

What do Hush privacy services include?

Hush combines automated removal with human review. It says it removes personal information from 2,500+ data broker, public internet and social media sources, and watches 64,000 public internet sources for new exposure, including text, images, video and audio. A privacy specialist works the removals, and members get ongoing exposure reporting.

Two things set it apart from most removal services. It includes up to $5 million in identity theft protection and restoration coverage, and it acts under a Limited Power of Attorney built into its terms, which lets it file requests with brokers that ask for authorization from an agent. Hush also sells to organizations, with programs for family offices, private equity and wealth management firms that want to protect executives and staff.

Reviews

Is Hush privacy legit?

Yes. Hush is a real company, founded in 2021 and based in Detroit, that raised about $4 million in a seed round led by Greycroft, according to Crunchbase and CB Insights. It publishes its pricing, its terms and a help center that explains how its authorization works.

What you will not find yet is a body of independent reviews. Searching for Hush privacy reviews mostly turns up namesakes, such as the Hushed phone number app and an unrelated security company called Hush on Gartner, plus AI tool directories. For a $6,000 contract, ask for a sample exposure report and a reference customer before you pay.

Who it fits

Who should pay for Hush, and who should not

Hush makes sense for a principal whose exposure goes well beyond people-search sites: a founder or fund manager who is a target for impersonation, a public figure whose photos and videos keep resurfacing, or a family office that wants one vendor to manage it all with insurance attached. For them, $6,000 a year is a small line in a security budget.

It is hard to justify when the problem is narrower. If a stalker, an ex or an angry customer found your home address on Spokeo or Whitepages, you need those listings removed, proof that they are gone and a quick refile when they come back. Deindex Executive does that for five people at $888 a year, with custom requests for sites outside the catalog.

The verdict

Is Hush worth it?

Hush is worth it if you want a managed, insured, white-glove service that covers social media and the wider web as well as brokers, and the budget is not the constraint. Its reach and insurance are real advantages.

If your goal is to get a home address, phone number and relatives off US people-search sites and keep them off, start with the free Deindex scan. It shows the exact listings before you pay, and Executive covers up to five people for $149 a month or $888 a year, about what Hush charges for seven weeks.

Why people switch

Why people move from Hush to Deindex

  • Your real exposure is people-search listings, and $6,000 a year for one person is more than the problem needs.

  • You want a household of up to five covered at a published price, not an Elite quote.

  • You want a dated before-and-after screenshot and the legal basis for every removal, plus a quarterly PDF for your security team.

Still deciding? BlackCloak pricing, the other executive protection option goes through the pricing, what actually gets removed, and where Hush is the better buy.

If you are still shortlisting, our ranked breakdown of the best data removal service puts Hush next to every other option on price and legal basis. Want to try the free route first? The data broker opt out list covers what Hush and Deindex both file on your behalf, and the wider guide to removing your information from the internet explains what no provider can take down.

Our differentiator

We sell proof and legal standing, not a count.

Every provider in this category, Hush included, will tell you how many opt-out requests it sent. Deindex tells you which legal mechanism each request was filed under, GDPR Article 17, CCPA §1798.105, the broker's own opt-out policy, or Google's personal-information removal tool, and attaches a dated before-and-after screenshot to every resolution. That is what you hand a security team or a lawyer, a number on a dashboard is not evidence.

We also tell you what we cannot remove. Court records, news articles, and anything outside legal removal scope stay published, and we say so upfront rather than take your money for a promise we cannot keep. Currently 50+ data brokers and people-search sites are in the catalog.
