BlackCloak Pricing, BlackCloak Cost, Reviews and Competitors

BlackCloak is a concierge cybersecurity service for executives and their families, sold by quote. If the risk you are paying to fix is a home address on people-search sites, run the Deindex scan first and see exactly where you are listed.

No account needed. Adding a city and state is what lets us tell your record apart from everyone who shares your name.

The short answer

BlackCloak does not publish prices; every plan is quoted after a demo. GetApp lists a starting price of $3,000 per user per year, and Vendr reports an average company contract of about $35,000 a year. That buys a managed security program for executives and families, not just data removal. If your exposure is a home address on people-search sites, Deindex Executive covers five people for $888 a year.

The honest picture

What BlackCloak actually is

Pricing

Quote only, after a demo. GetApp lists a starting price of $3,000 per user per year, and Vendr reports an average company contract of about $35,000 a year, with the largest near $79,000.

Where BlackCloak is strong

A full Digital Executive Protection program in one contract: endpoint protection on personal phones and laptops, home network scans, dark web monitoring, deepfake call and video checks, data broker removal, and a US-based security operations center that responds to incidents for the executive and family.

Where it falls short

No public prices, no self-serve signup and a sales process built for companies and family offices. Reported entry pricing of $3,000 per person a year is ten to twenty times what dedicated removal services charge, which is poor value if people-search listings are the only exposure you need closed.

Price, side by side

How much does BlackCloak cost?

BlackCloak sells through a demo and a custom quote, so there is no price page to check. The public figures come from software marketplaces. GetApp lists a starting price of $3,000 per user per year on an annual subscription. Vendr, which tracks real purchase data, reports an average BlackCloak contract of $35,333 a year and a maximum near $79,000, though that is based on only three deals.

The price moves with the number of protected people, the size of their families and how many devices and homes are in scope. A company protecting ten executives and their spouses is buying a very different contract from one family office protecting a single principal. Treat these numbers as a starting point for the conversation, and ask for the per-person rate in writing.

What the money buys

What does BlackCloak actually do?

BlackCloak calls its product Digital Executive Protection. Once the BlackCloak app is installed, it runs endpoint detection on personal phones and laptops, scans the home network, monitors the dark web for leaked credentials, checks for deepfake calls and videos, and removes exposed personal data from data brokers. A US-based security operations center watches alerts and handles incidents, and a concierge team runs onboarding and privacy reviews.

That is why it costs what it costs. Most of the price pays for people watching devices and responding to incidents, not for opt-out requests. Data broker removal is one line item inside the bundle, and BlackCloak says so itself on its homepage, where it describes removal-only vendors as selling one fragment of the problem.

Reviews

BlackCloak reviews, is BlackCloak legit?

Yes. BlackCloak is an established company, founded in 2018 in Lake Mary, Florida, by Dr. Chris Pierson, who previously served on the Department of Homeland Security's privacy and cybersecurity committees. It raised a $17 million Series B led by Baird Capital in August 2024 and sells to companies, boards, family offices and wealthy families.

Public reviews are thin because the buyers are corporate security teams and private clients who rarely post. The iPhone app has a 4.4 rating from 36 ratings on the App Store in September 2026. There is no Trustpilot track record to speak of, so the best reference check is to ask BlackCloak for two customers of your size and call them.

Competitors

BlackCloak competitors for executive privacy

The direct competitors sell managed programs for high-risk people. Ironwall by Incogni offers Essential, Premium and Executive plans for employees, executives, judges and law enforcement, with removal from data brokers and the wider web, protection for family members at home and, on the top tier, support from former federal agents. All three tiers are quote only. ReputationDefender sells ExecutivePrivacy tiers with reported contracts from about $1,000 to $25,000 a year.

Below them sit the removal services with published prices: DeleteMe, Optery, Incogni and Deindex. They do not touch the executive's laptop or router. They take the home address, phone number, relatives and property records off people-search sites and keep them off. For many executives that is the exposure an attacker actually uses to plan a phishing call or a visit to the house.

The verdict

Is BlackCloak worth it, or is data removal enough?

BlackCloak is worth the money when the threat is technical: a CEO whose personal devices hold company access, a family office that has already had an account takeover, a board member whose home network is a way into the company. A small internal security team cannot watch those devices around the clock, and BlackCloak does.

If the worry is physical safety and doxxing, the budget can be much smaller. Deindex Executive removes the home address, phone and relatives of up to five people from people-search sites for $888 a year, rescans weekly, answers relistings within 24 hours, files custom requests for sites outside the catalog, and hands your security team a quarterly PDF report with a dated before-and-after screenshot of each listing. For a whole leadership team, Deindex Business covers up to ten people for $1,788 a year ($298 month to month), bought online like any plan.

Why people switch

Why people move from BlackCloak to Deindex

  • Your real exposure is a home address, phone and relatives on people-search sites, not compromised devices.

  • You want published prices and a plan an executive assistant can start today, without a sales cycle.

  • Your security team needs a dated before-and-after screenshot and the legal basis for each removal in a quarterly report.

Still deciding? What ReputationDefender charges executives for privacy work goes through the pricing, what actually gets removed, and where BlackCloak is the better buy.

If you are still shortlisting, our ranked breakdown of the best data removal service puts BlackCloak next to every other option on price and legal basis. Want to try the free route first? The data broker opt out list covers what BlackCloak and Deindex both file on your behalf, and the wider guide to removing your information from the internet explains what no provider can take down.

Our differentiator

We sell proof and legal standing, not a count.

Every provider in this category, BlackCloak included, will tell you how many opt-out requests it sent. Deindex tells you which legal mechanism each request was filed under, GDPR Article 17, CCPA §1798.105, the broker's own opt-out policy, or Google's personal-information removal tool, and attaches a dated before-and-after screenshot to every resolution. That is what you hand a security team or a lawyer, a number on a dashboard is not evidence.

We also tell you what we cannot remove. Court records, news articles, and anything outside legal removal scope stay published, and we say so upfront rather than take your money for a promise we cannot keep. Currently 50+ data brokers and people-search sites are in the catalog.

BlackCloak alternative FAQ

Before you switch

BlackCloak quotes every plan after a demo and does not publish prices. GetApp lists a starting price of $3,000 per user per year, and Vendr reports an average company contract of about $35,000 a year, with the largest near $79,000. Price depends on how many people, family members, devices and homes are covered.

Yes. BlackCloak was founded in 2018 in Lake Mary, Florida, by Dr. Chris Pierson, raised a $17 million Series B led by Baird Capital in 2024, and sells executive cybersecurity to companies and family offices. Its app has a 4.4 rating from 36 ratings on the App Store.

Yes. Data broker removal is part of BlackCloak's privacy and identity defense, alongside dark web monitoring. It is one component of a larger managed security bundle, so you cannot buy removal from BlackCloak on its own at a removal-service price.

Managed executive protection competitors include Ironwall by Incogni and ReputationDefender's ExecutivePrivacy tiers, both quote only. For people-search removal alone, DeleteMe, Optery, Incogni and Deindex publish their prices, from $95.88 to $888 a year depending on the plan and the number of people covered.

For removing an executive's home address and family details from people-search sites, yes. Deindex Executive covers up to five people for $888 a year with weekly rescans, custom removals and a quarterly PDF report. It does not replace BlackCloak's device monitoring or incident response.

For data broker removal, yes, by a wide margin. Deindex Executive is $888 a year for up to five people with weekly rescans, custom removal requests and a quarterly PDF exposure report for your security team, against a reported $3,000 per person a year for BlackCloak. If you also need a security team monitoring the executive's phones and home network, that is BlackCloak's job, not ours.

Yes. Enter your name, city and state at the top of this page and the scan checks our catalog of data brokers and people-search sites right away, with no card. You see the full count and the first five sites by name immediately, and a free account opens the rest of the report.
