Aura costs $12 a month for one adult, $22 a month for a couple and $32 a month for a family of five adults, when you pay for the year up front. That works out to $144, $264 and $384 a year. Month to month, the same plans cost $15, $29 and $50. Every plan includes a 14-day trial, and annual plans come with a 60-day money-back guarantee.
Those prices buy a full identity theft protection suite: three-bureau credit monitoring, identity theft insurance, antivirus, a VPN and data broker removal from 425+ sites. That is the thing to decide before you pay. If you want all of it, Aura is fairly priced. If the reason you are looking at Aura is to get your home address and phone number off people-search sites, you are paying for a bundle to use one feature. How much does Aura cost per month?
Aura costs $12 to $32 a month on yearly billing and $15 to $50 a month on monthly billing, depending on how many people the plan covers. These are the prices on aura.com/pricing in September 2026. Yearly billing is the better deal on every plan, and the gap widens as the household grows: the Family plan costs $18 a month more if you pay monthly.

The Kids plan is parental controls and child safety, not data removal, so it is not an option if your goal is getting listings taken down. The per-adult insurance on paid plans is $1 million, which is why the Couple and Family plans show larger totals.
Aura subscription price after the first year
Aura's pricing page shows the annual and monthly prices without a separate renewal price. A PrivacyOn review from August 2026 reports that the Individual plan renews at $144 a year and the Couple plan at $264, the same as the first year. Before you check out, read the price shown in the order summary and set a reminder a week before the renewal date. Annual subscriptions that renew quietly are the most common reason people end up paying for a service they stopped using, and a simple alert on recurring card charges catches the renewal before it posts.
The 60-day money-back guarantee only applies to annual plans bought on Aura's website or through its support team, not through Amazon. Aura's terms tie the guarantee to annual plans, so on monthly billing the 14-day trial is your window to test it.
Is there an Aura plan for data removal only?
No. On Aura's pricing page, data removal is included in the Individual, Couple and Family plans and is not sold on its own. The cheapest way to get Aura data removal is the Individual plan at $144 a year, which also includes credit monitoring, antivirus, a VPN and identity theft insurance.
What the removal part does is solid. Aura says it sends opt-out requests to more than 425 data broker, people-search, junk-mail and real estate data sites, that processing can take up to 30 days, and that it rescans daily and refiles when your information shows up again. What does Aura cost compared with data removal services?
For one person on yearly billing, Aura is more expensive than the removal-only services, because the price includes the identity theft suite. For a family, Aura sits in the middle. Here is the removal job priced across the main options in September 2026.

The row that decides most purchases is the household. Covering five adults costs $384 a year on Aura Family and $294 on Deindex Family, and three separate Norton subscriptions for three adults already cost about $330. Is Aura worth the cost?
Aura is worth the cost if you would otherwise buy credit monitoring, identity theft insurance and data broker removal separately. DeleteMe alone costs $129 a year, so adding credit monitoring and insurance separately passes $144 quickly, and Aura puts them behind one login with daily rescans on the removal side and a 60-day refund on annual plans.
Aura is not worth the cost when you already have antivirus, your credit is frozen at all three bureaus, and what you actually want is your address off people-search sites. In that case the bundle is money spent on features you will not open. Pick a removal service instead and spend the difference on covering the rest of your household.
A good test: open your current subscriptions and count how many of Aura's features you already pay for. If it is two or more, Aura mostly duplicates what you have.
Aura cost for families and couples
The Couple plan costs $264 a year for two adults, and the Family plan costs $384 a year for five adults plus unlimited kids. Aura's Family plan is one of the few in the category that covers children's identities, which matters if you worry about child identity theft, since kids' credit files are rarely checked until they apply for a loan.
For data removal, children are usually not the exposure. People-search sites list adults: their home address, phone number, relatives and age. A household of two adults and two teenagers gets the same removal coverage from a five-person removal plan as from Aura Family, and the difference is whether you also want the identity monitoring for the kids.
Aura pricing for executives and people at risk
If your address is a safety issue, for example you are a physician, a prosecutor, a landlord, a journalist or an executive who has received threats, the price question is secondary to two others: how fast relisted records are caught, and whether you can prove a listing was removed. Aura's daily rescan is fast. What it does not provide is a dated before-and-after record of each listing or the legal basis of each request.
That record matters when a security team, an employer or a lawyer asks what was exposed and when it came down.
